Yoga Nidra
Deep Rest Reset.
Yoga Nidra workshop in Raleigh, NC
This special two-hour class combines three powerful practices to reset and improve the quality of your sleep, counter stress, and help prevent stress-related illness.
We begin with guided Breathwork to bring your focus inward and quiet the mind. From there, we move into Yin Yoga, with deep stretches done lying down to release tension held in the body. We close with Yoga Nidra, a guided practice that gently brings you into the space between waking and sleeping — shifting the brain into the slower theta and delta brainwaves associated with deep rest, recovery, and profound healing.
Yoga Nidra is like a reset button for the body and mind. Paired with breathwork and Yin Yoga, its benefits become even more transformative — restoring the body, calming the mind, and supporting your long-term health and vitality.
This class is done almost entirely lying down. It is deeply accessible, and no previous yoga experience is necessary.
A special class offered only 3 times per year at Bliss Body Yoga studio.

Benefits of Yoga Nidra with Yin & Breathwork
- Calms the nervous system, easing the body out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest.”
- Reduces stress and helps prevent stress-related illness over time.
- Releases physical tension through supported, lying-down Yin postures.
- Quiets the mind through guided breathwork, promoting mental clarity and inner stillness.
- Improves sleep quality — not by sleeping longer, but by sleeping more soundly and more deeply.
How this Supports Deep Healing
- Yoga Nidra guides the brain into theta and delta brainwaves — the same slow-wave patterns the body reaches during deep sleep.
- These brainwave states trigger the release of growth hormone, supporting muscle repair and growth.
- The immune system strengthens, with increased white blood cell production.
- The body shifts into active tissue repair and regrowth.
- Energy demands drop, allowing cells to resupply and prepare for the next day.
