My Story

Students often tell me how yoga and breathwork changed something for them: eased a chronic issue, improved their sleep, sharpened their game, or simply helped them feel like themselves again. It never gets old, and it still moves me every single time.

I came to the mat over 20 years ago, chasing relief from chronic back and neck pain. What I found was far more than relief. It was a practice that made me stronger, calmer, and gave me the tools to move through life with ease. That transformation is still what drives me today.

With more than 15 years of teaching experience across five distinct yoga styles (hot, flow/vinyasa, gentle, yin, and restorative), plus certification as a Breathwork Facilitator, I bring rare depth to every class. I tune into exactly what your body needs and adjust in real time as you move, because yoga isn’t one size fits all. A decade as a studio owner and six years co-chairing YogaFest NC, the Triangle’s largest yoga event, shaped a teaching approach built entirely around one goal: helping you move better, feel stronger, and heal from the inside out, no matter where you’re starting from.

That same curiosity first led me to a Master’s Degree in science. It was later sharpened by a life across five countries and fluency in French. It’s what drives my fascination with how things, and people, actually work, and what it takes to help you thrive.

Beyond the studio, I’m the mother of three (grown now), I love to travel and hike, and I’m honored to have played a small part in so many people’s health, recovery, and peace of mind over the years.

You are on the right path. Now take a step forward.

With a heartfelt smile and Namaste,
Roxane Banville, Owner
