Our 75 minute yoga class consists of gentle warmup transitioning into a series of standing postures followed by floor poses, all interwoven with awareness of breath. Our standing poses focuses on building strength, balance and endurance, while our floor sequence includes hip openers and spinal/upper body work. The poses are never forced or strained and are held anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute. The series is progressive, synchronizing the breath with the movements and focusing on gaining benefits from each posture with each practice.
Our yin yoga class is designed to stretch deep muscle tissue and fascia. Poses are seated or reclined and held for 3-5 minutes, . The slower nature of this practice makes this a more passive yoga and is suitable for all levels. It's a great complement to your regular practice and a great way to get a deep relaxation at the end of your day.
Our students vary in age and abilities. We teach modifications which allows each student to choose the challenge that feels best for them that day, allowing students to practice at their own levels and to get the most benefits out of their postures.
